I'm happy now, but i can barely open my eyes. Coz today's the 1st day of dance camp! I want this memory to remain forever. haha, sounds so serious.
Reached school at 7 AM! woke up so early when i slept at 12 plus last night and couldnt get to sleep. =x
We had Icebreakers, which includes Wacko, which was supposed to be something like a tradition for modern dance, the ladder game and somethign else, if not, nothin else.
Dance style was the YMCA dance. lol. y-m-c-a. The first thing i thought of when i saw the dance was that it seemed like a kiddy dance. At least better than chicken dance. =x But it was enjoyable. =)
Later we learnt La Boo
mba, or Ba
mba, or whatever u spell it. It's a latin dance, and i didnt realise it until mr.raj told us later. what a failure after being in dance for 3 yrs. In the end, at the end of the day, we managed to complete learning the whole dance. applause for us!
Lunch was catered food. I suppose no one finished the entire box of food, coz most of us were overly hungry and was afraid our stomachs couldnt take it later when we dance.
After that, had self-choreography, for the competition on the last day 24th dec. Then learnt dance style 2, which is country in-line dancing! Ohman i love it. =D But according to the teacher, our group, Ember, didnt have members with good memories, so we only danced a small portion of the dance when he stopped the music. So sad.
Anyway, one of the interesting part of the camp is the 3 assisstants and dance cheer. We had 3 committee members from ACJC dance club to join us in the camp and they are also taught by mr.raj.
After much arguments, our group decideed on the name Ember. And our short, sweet and simple cheer is "Yay! We rock!" haha. They were many versions of it, and all requested by the instructor. first was a neutral one, second was a sexy one, and third was an agressive and angry one. -.-
At the end of the day instructor said the debrief would be short coz he is generally glad with our performance today. =) Then some of the sec3s went for dinner at Coro, and we saw mr.raj and mike and the acjc girl(forgot her name) in the Prince place.
Lookin forward to tommorow, coz theyre'll be pizza for lunch! hahas. In fact looking forward to more torture and sufferings and bruises and cuts and lecturing. In fact in fact, looking forward to the dance routine 2.
Ive got many things to do, so wont write any further. =D
